A Good Secret:
Some people or things don't get noticed all the time! That might not always be a bad thing. There are some movies that fall between the cracks when released and then get rediscovered. The movie The Secret Of Kells which came out in 2009 took a year to be noticed but got all the credit it deserved in the end!
What's it about?, a kid named Brendan has a hard time understanding the world outside the walls of the Abbey of Kells, which his mean uncle, the Abbott Cellach, has forbidden him from experiencing.
Brendan was obsessed with the graphic process of making the prophesied Book of Iona, that he ends up with Brother Aidan, a master illustrator who offers to teach him how to draw.
Brendan then goes out of the walls of Kells to get some berries that can make the paint of the Book's magical images where he finds a new world that offers alot of opportunities, and alot of dangers.
The film is animated with amazing visuals and graphics and I was blown away! It shows a unique combination of classic animation and 3D animation that together create a magical world full of details and emotions.
The film was nominated for an Oscar for it's visual effects but did not win in the end. At least this movie but did get noticed in the end!
Was the trailer convincing enough? Will you see it?
