8 Bit Stop Motion
There are a lot of ways to create animation movies. Before computer graphics were invented, the most popular way was to draw the characters on a special paper, each frame, or each movement on one paper.
This technique meant that at the end result you got millions of pages. Those pages where inserted into a special machine that turned the pages one by one really quick, which created the illusion of an animated character.
Check out this Disney making of the Princess and the Frog video:
Another way to make animated movies is the use physical puppets. This animation technique is called Stop Motion. What this technique means is that those puppets are moved and pictured by a special camera frame by frame and then being put together just like the classic animation machine does.
I simply love animations of all kinds but the Stop Motion kind has a special place because it is very unique and special in a lot of ways.
