The world’s largest Pinata was revealed this past weekend in Philadelphia, PA.

It broke the Guinness Book of World Records at 94 feet long, 24 feet wide and 60 feet tall.  Now, I know you are wondering what it was filled with – 8,000 pounds of candy!  This giant donkey was cracked opened by a wrecking ball and was smashed at a public event where the spectators were able to enjoy all that candy inside.

It was made to be used in a Carnival Cruise Line commercial.

Some other largest record holders are for the largest ball of twine and the largest Lite Bright image.

The largest ball of twine weighs over 17,400 pounds and is twelve feet in diameter.  It was created by Francis A. Johnson who started creating it in 1950 and wrapped for four hours a day every day for 39 years.

The largest Lite Bright image made was of an ASICS trainer sneaker.  It was unveiled last month in New York City.  It contained 347,004 original sized pegs and was 9 feet wide and 14 feet tall.  It was made for the ASICS America Corporation and their advertising company and is currently touring the country.

People are always trying to beat records for Guinness World Record books, check out this website for more!
