He was not the David everyone had their money on as the winner of last season's American Idol but that did not stop David Cook from surprising everyone last May when he went on to clinch the Idol title.
Six months later, David Cook's self titled debut album is all ready to hit the stores, but the question fans and music critics are all asking is whether the rugged rocker with his love for long words could recreate his stage success in the studio.
The album has 13 tracks, nine of which David co-wrote with the help of prolific songwriters like Brian Howes, Cathy Dennis and David's own idol, songwriter and singer Chris Cornell who co-wrote the album's first single "Light On".
With all the songs on the album being potential singles, do you think it's going to become impossible to escape David Cook on the radio from now on?
'David Cook' is out now.
