The Harry Potter series sure has made author J.K. Rowling a pretty penny. Now, Rowling hopes that her latest offering will rake in some much needed cash for charity.

"The Tales of Beedle the Bard" is a collection of five children's tales of wizardry that were first mentioned in the final Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows".
Only seven (!) copies were initially produced, all of which were handwritten and illustrated by Rowling herself!

If you think that's an exciting collector's item, then you're not the only ones. Last December, online mega retailer Amazon bought one of the seven copies for the equivalent sum of $4 million!
"The Children's High Level Group", a charity for institutionalized children, founded by Rowling herself is hoping to raise £4 million ($8 million) out of book sale revenues when it is published in December of this year.
If you're worried about how you're going to get $2 million, you can relax. A regular copy of the book will cost £4 ($8) whereas a limited collector's edition of the book is expected to cost about £50 ($100) on Amazon's
British site.
It's a big dent in the piggy bank but hey, it's for a worthy cause!
