Australia's Tasmanian Devil has been put on the Endangered Species list.

According to scientists who study these animals, sadly they have been dying off because of a disease called DFTD, or a facial tumor.  This contagious cancer spreads when the devils fight and bite each other. The disease was first discovered nearly 13 years ago, and since then the Tasmanian Devil population has dropped about 70%.

You are all probably familiar with Taz, the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes who whirls around destroying and eating everything in sight.  But they are real creatures, and just as feisty!
WildLife,Mammals,News

They live on a large island south of Australia called Tasmania, this is the only place in the world that they are found.  They are the size of small dogs have have one of the most powerful bites of any mammal on Earth. Tasmanian Devils are very ill-tempered and can be very vicious.  They are nocturnal, which means they sleep during the day, like bats.
